Women, Power & Civilization

through the lens of goddess traditions.

An exploration of how cultures imagine women.

Who was the first Queen of Heaven?

Before Mary carried that title, it belonged to Inanna of ancient Sumer. Join philosopher and storyteller Jen Taylor for an exploration of one of humanity's oldest recorded goddesses through mythology, archaeology, iconography, discussion, circus yoga, tea and bread at The Sanctuary.

Jen Taylor has spent more than three decades exploring the intersection of mythology, philosophy, ecology, feminism and spirituality. With a Master's degree in Philosophy and Religion, she combines rigorous scholarship with storytelling, embodiment practices and community ritual. Her Goddess Series at The Sanctuary invites participants into a living conversation between ancient wisdom and modern life.
