Ancient Goddesses in 2026
Inanna, Queen of Heaven & Earth
Sunday, May 17th / 3-5 pm
Before the alphabet came out of Phoenicia, cuneiform writing was invented in ancient Sumer.
The first piece of writing attributed to an author followed shortly after, In Exultation to Inanna, Queen of Heaven. Mother Mary holds this title now, but it first belonged to Inanna of Sumer 5,500 years ago. As did the story of descent into the underworld, a journey of death and resurrection. What drove Inanna to do it?
In Part II of this workshop, we will dive deeper into the mysteries surrounding the great Goddess, whose travels to the Underworld and back were recorded and preserved for us, like a spiritual set of instructions.
The day includes Xena’s Café for delicious baked goods, hot & cold teas.
This is the fourth in a series of workshops geared for those wishing to ground personal spiritual exploration and practice with ancient archetypes, or nerds with a penchant for ancient history with a little Xena sprinkled in.
Tuition:
Level I: $90 per single workshop / $420 (six-class series)
Level II: $60 per single workshop / $360 (six-class series)
Level III: Scholarship (let us know what you can afford)
Level IV: Volunteer / The Sanctuary Forest Project
(The higher pricing goes to support sustainability projects on the land trust and community programs.)
