The Sanctuary: Eco-Circus Field Experience
An immersive day where movement, ecology, and living systems come to life.
We invite your students to spend a day at The Sanctuary, a 40-acre land trust where circus arts, yoga, animal care, and ecosystem exploration are woven into a rich, sensory learning experience. Designed with Montessori principles in mind, this day engages the whole child through movement, observation, independence, and wonder.
What Students Experience
• Circus Arts Exploration
Introduction to aerial silks, trapeze, and ground-based circus skills in a safe, supportive environment. Builds confidence, coordination, and joyful risk-taking.
• Yoga & Mindful Movement
Grounding practices that develop body awareness, breath, and self-regulation—woven naturally into the natural rhythm of the day.
• Beaver Ecosystem Immersion
Guided exploration of an active beaver pond within 30 acres of forest. Students observe how beavers shape landscapes, create habitats, and influence biodiversity.
• Farm Animal Connection
Time with our free-range goats and chickens, offering opportunities for gentle interaction, observation, and discussion about animal behavior, care, and small-scale land stewardship.

Why The Sanctuary is Unique
This is not a traditional field trip. It is a multi-sensory, place-based experience where students move, explore, observe, and connect—across forest, field, aerial space, and farm. Each element supports the others, creating a day that is both grounding and expansive.
