We stand humbled and amazed by our extended community of givers, volunteers, collaborators, partners, sisters and brothers. The Community Stage continues to assemble itself. The tribe of partnership continues to assemble itself.
Designed by visionary architect Hans Lohse, and funded and constructed by the creative hearts of many residents and members of the Sanctuary’s extended tribe of stakeholders, the Community Stage will serve as a premier outdoor venue in Connecticut for live music, circus, yoga and performing arts. Thanks to great support from our extended community of stakeholders, a wonderful new facility is being constructed which will serve local culture and create public space in support of the arts. We are humbled in gratitude, but also need support to continue.
With the gift of beautiful, 37 foot old growth cedar posts from California, 11 yards of concrete and essential help lifting the cedar into place by Rodney Davis and his marvelous backhoe, it began.
This project is going along so quickly, focusing our energies and exciting us as it takes collaboration to another level.
The deck is now complete and we are ready to raise the roof! Join us!
Much thanks from the Sanctuary’s Unfolding Wholeness Committee: Jenny and Vood, Hans Lohse, Sacred Earth Walker, Michael Doyle, Rodney Davis, Mauxdin, DBL, Mark Palmer, Nick Capozza, Chris Lennox, Sally & Maxine.
